UK CEED’s Environment Expo’ a sell out success

400 visitors and 70 exhibitors took part in UK CEED’s inaugural East of England Energy & Environment Expo’ (e5xpo). The e5xpo, held in partnership with Renewables East, EEDA, Applied Energy and Opportunity Peterborough, was held on 24th September 2008 in Peterborough’s Kingsgate Centre to promote and showcase businesses and organisations in the Environmental Goods and Services (EGS) sector.

E5xpo provided excellent networking and collaboration opportunities for those organisations that buy or supply environmental technologies, products or services and for policy makers with an interest in this area. A wide variety of organisations exhibited at the event, enabling attendees and exhibitors alike to access information on relevant and emerging technologies.

Alongside the exhibition there was a comprehensive conference and seminar programme providing guidance and support for organisations working to improve their resource efficiency and to reduce their environmental impact. Topics included visions for renewable energy technologies, sustainable construction, business resource efficiency and an in-depth look at Peterborough’s forthcoming zero carbon housing development (‘pPod’).

With so many sectors moving towards more sustainable business practice, E5xpo attracted key decision makers from representatives of local authorities, construction & development companies and environmental consultants to private industry, transport, skills development and the media.

We have had very positive feedback from exhibitors and attendees at the inaugural event and are now making plans for E5xpo 2009. To find out more about how your organisation can benefit from becoming involved in E5xpo contact Gareth Jones on 01733 311 644 or by emailing info@e5xpo.co.uk
