Climate change is widely considered the greatest environmental challenge facing the planet. UK CEED's Low Carbon programme, set up with the seedcorn support of the JJ Sainsbury Charitable and Mark Leonard Trusts, seeks to promote the application of low carbon energy solutions to local authorities, housing associations, private sector developers and individuals.
Projects include:
- Connecting Energy Clusters across Europe (CENCE) - a 2-year European Commission-backed project assessing renewable energy support across Europe
- National Energy Efficiency Awards
- Assessing Transport Contributions to Greenhouse Gas Emissions
- Solar Roofs - a major photovoltaic demonstration project
- Wind Development - community investment funds
- Energy Saving Trust Advice Centre Anglia - UK CEED was the strategic lead partner in the establishment of the Centre which provides advice to consumers on energy efficiency, renewable energy and transport choice.
