Ecotrade Centre Final Report
March 2006 – This is the final report of UK CEED’s WRAP-funded R&D project aimed at establishing a pilot construction and demolition waste recycling facility. The facility acts in a similar way to a civic amenity site but is aimed at SMEs producing waste as part of construction and demolition activities. At present such traders are unable to take advantage of recycling facilities at civic amenity sites and usually would send all their waste unsorted to landfill via waste carriers. The new facility allows relatively small amounts of waste to be collected and ‘bulked’ with other wastes to produce better economies of scale.
