A belief that economic development and environmental protection are mutually compatible lies at the heart of UK CEED's founding mission. This underpins the Centre's Resource Efficiency programme which seeks to reduce the impact of products and services whilst managing any resulting waste more effectively.
UK CEED set up, and continues to work closely with, the Centre for Sustainable Engineering to catalyse the development of new, lower impact technologies. UK CEED's projects in this area focus on business support for waste and recycling companies, practicable demonstration projects and policy development activities.
